Lynne Wilson Orr

I want patients and families to feel welcome, included and accepted when they visit a healthcare facility; I want staff to feel supported, valued and empowered in the spaces they work within, and I believe that the buildings we design can have a positive influence on the outcomes of treatment. The more I can do to make the experience of healthcare less stressful and more effective, the better I am doing my job.

Lynne is a valuable resource for Parkin. She specializes in evidence-based design and providing support to the design team. Lynne has extensive experience in designing facilities for a variety of healthcare programs, including maternal newborn care, pediatrics, mental health, cancer care, rehabilitation, and elder-friendly hospitals.

Lynne is a published author of the Health Canada Family-Centred Maternity and Newborn Care Guidelines and sits on various committees related to healthcare design, including the USA Consensus Committee for Newborn ICU Design, CSA Strategic Steering Committee on Healthcare and Well-being, and the Public Health Agency of Canada Committee for Family-Centred Maternal Newborn Care Guidelines. Her expertise and dedication ensure successful outcomes for all healthcare projects.
