Parkin at European Healthcare Design 2026

Come visit a whimsical and colourful children’s healthcare facility that promises adventure and exploration!

Principal Lynne Wilson Orr and Associate Rachael Newbury of Parkin Architects will be participating in the Video+Poster Gallery at European Healthcare Design 2026 showcasing our work at the Grandview Children’s Treatment Centre, titled, “Beyond Treatment: Creating a Holistic Health Ecosystem for Children.” Their involvement highlights Parkin’s continued contribution to international conversations on healthcare design and innovation.

Organized by Salus Global Knowledge Exchange and Architects for Health, the European Healthcare Design congress will take place from  June 15–17 2026 at the QEII Centre in London and will bring together global leaders in healthcare planning, design, research, and policy. This year’s programme explores the theme Agile not fragile: Designing for resilience, renewal and regeneration, with more than 80 Video+Poster presentations featured as part of the event.

Beyond Treatment will contribute to the conference dialogue on creating more connected, supportive, and human-centred environments that promote treatment, prevention, and long-term wellbeing for children and families.

By moving healthcare services into community-based settings outside traditional hospitals, we are helping make care more accessible and responsive to families’ needs. The location of Grandview within the community improves access, reduces travel time, and minimizes the need for regular hospital visits.

We look forward to sharing more as Lynne and Rachael bring this important perspective to an international audience in London.
