Take a guided tour through The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) recently completed the Intermediate Care redesign for Ward 7C, in the Slaight Atrium Building. The new layout optimizes nursing resources with the addition of observation nooks in the corridors to allow for 1:2 intermediate care nursing and the redesign of the patient rooms to improve clinical outcomes.
