In honour of Earth Day, Parkin was proud to announce the launch of our P/Sustainability Committee—a new initiative designed to embed sustainability into the core of how we design, operate, and grow.
This firm-wide effort marks an important step forward in aligning our practice with global sustainability goals. Through structured planning, measurable targets, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, the P/Sustainability Committee will guide our approach to environmental responsibility—ensuring it is integrated into all facets of our work.
Driving Impact Across Our Practice
From advancing sustainable design strategies to improving internal operations, the committee will lead initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint. Early actions include:
- Design & Projects: Developing tools to track project performance and lay the groundwork for a Parkin embodied carbon strategy.
- Operations: Gathering data on energy, water, and waste across all offices to inform future reduction targets and sustainable procurement practices.
- Engagement & Knowledge Sharing: Hosting firm-wide sustainability sessions to share insights, build expertise, and inspire innovation across teams.
As this work evolves, Parkin will continue to engage employees at all levels—ensuring sustainability is a shared responsibility and a defining feature of our practice.
