In joint venture with ZGF this project is set to bring state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the vibrant city of Surrey in British Columbia’s lower mainland.
As one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, Surrey faces growing demands for top-tier health services. The new Surrey hospital, a greenfield project situated in the Cloverdale area, is poised to be a vital solution to this pressing need.

- 168 inpatient beds
- An Emergency Department with 55 treatment spaces
- Five cutting-edge operating rooms
- Six cutting-edge linac bunkers
- Advanced diagnostic services
- A comprehensive suite of hospital and support services
This monumental healthcare endeavor comes with a project cost of $2.8 billion, underscoring the commitment to providing the best healthcare facilities for the community. Construction is set to kick off immediately, with the project slated for completion in 2029 and occupancy scheduled for 2030.
Parkin is no stranger to Surrey’s healthcare landscape. We were honored to serve as the architects for the Emergency Department team during the last major expansion of Surrey Memorial Hospital with the EllisDon Team, which opened its doors in 2014.
