International Association of People-Environment Studies (IAPS)

Parkin Director, Robert Boraks, has been invited to speak about the evolution of youth incarceration at the IAPS 26^th annual conference. Originally scheduled to take place in Quebec City—for the first time ever in North America—it will be held  on-line, June 21–25, 2020, due to the pandemic.

ABOUT IAPS

Formed officially in 1981, but with intellectual roots dating back to the ‘60s in the architectural psychology movement, IAPS is a multidisciplinary and active association that gathers researchers and practitioners from around the world who have a shared interest in people’s interactions with their environments. Psychology, sociology, geography, design, and planning are only a few of the disciplines represented; for these and their representatives, IAPS serves both as a platform for disciplinary discussion and a platform for collaboration.
