Architectural Blog Series: Hamilton Health Sciences, Neuromuscular/Neurometabolic Clinic

Welcome back to our Architectural Blog Series, where we’re highlighting some of the great work happening at Parkin.

About Hamilton Health Sciences, Neuromuscular/Neurometabolic Clinic

This clinic provides testing, biopsy, and research space for the assessment of muscular diseases and syndromes. It is situated on the main corridor near the main entrance, but the clinic entrance provides discrete access for inpatients and outpatients.

The clinic has been divided into three zones: clinic spaces, an exercise lab with testing cubicles, and office/research areas. Warm colours and non-institutional materials combined with frosted glass panels are used to create a non-clinical atmosphere for patients who vary from newborns to adults.
