Corner Brook Hospital | Parkin Video Series

Parkin is delighted to be working on the new Corner Brook acute care hospital in Newfoundland & Labrador, together with B+H and PCL Construction.  The Parkin team and its director, Robin Snell, share their experience and design insights in a new video series on YouTube. Each short video focuses on different aspects of the project design. In the first video, Robin talks about Corner Brook, Collaborative Team Efforts, and Unique Project Delivery.

With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Robin has extensive experience in numerous projects across Canada, providing services from business case and master planning studies to implementation of small and large projects, and various procurement models.  He draws upon his passion for healthcare, strong leadership skills, and broad experience to help guide healthcare projects to best-practice goals and successful project outcomes.

Robin is an advocate for evidence-based design (EBD) and leads the Parkin EBD team and post occupancy evaluation process. He is Vice-Chair of the Canadian Standards Association Technical Committee for Health Care Facilities and active member of CSA healthcare design subcommittees including Z-8000 for Canadian healthcare facilities, wayfinding, area measurement, and infection prevention and control during construction. He is an EDAC and LEED accredited professional with recent healthcare projects in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
