Together with extensive experience in “clean room” and laboratory design, Parkin understands the requirements of current Health Canada regulatory standards for gene-modified and manipulated cellular therapeutic product production. As a result, Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children engaged the firm to design a new Cellular Therapy Suite that meets current and future needs of the hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplant / Cellular therapy program.
Parkin created a suite that simplifies workflows, maximizes operational efficiencies and mitigates cross-contamination risks. This new suite will allow the talented staff at SickKids to introduce new therapies and to maintain their goal of delivering world class care.
