Cedar Canoe Project

As advocates of designing facilities that improve the lives of children and parents, as well as those who care for them, our research introduced us to (KIP) Canada, an organization that supports the under-served needs of children affected by parental incarceration.  We are committed supporters of this foundation.

Parkin was invited to visit indigenous artisans associated with KIP as they built a traditional cedar canoe. It was truly special to hear testimonies from participants describing the project and what it means to them.

Please join us in watching this video to learn more about this exciting project. We’d like to thank this hardworking team of artisans for sharing their experience with the craftsmanship involved in completing their canoe project.
