It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of David Driscoll from Parkin Architects, effective July 31, 2024. After 37 years of dedicated service, David has decided to embark on a well-deserved retirement journey.
David has been an integral part of our team, contributing significantly to our growth and success. As a Principal, former Director, Shareholder, and LEED-accredited Professional at Parkin, he has dedicated his career to the design, detail development, and contract administration of complex institutional projects. His expertise in technical installations such as surgical suites, laboratories, and radiology suites has been invaluable, showcasing his exceptional skills and attention to detail.
Throughout his tenure, David has been involved in numerous research, institutional and post-secondary projects, consistently demonstrating professionalism and design excellence. His leadership, capable project management, and coordination have left an indelible mark on our organization. As a member of the CSA technical work group drafting standards for laboratory design in Canada and the Ontario Building Envelope Council, David has ensured that Parkin buildings are soundly constructed, energy-efficient, and easy to maintain.
While we will miss David’s presence, we are excited for him as he begins this new chapter of his life. We are grateful for his unwavering dedication and the lasting impact he has made on Parkin. Thanks to you David for your lasting impact on Parkin. We wish you the all the best in your retirement.
