Construction at the New Quw’utsun Valley Hospital reaches 90% completion

A significant milestone has been reached on the new Quw’utsun Valley Hospital / Quw’utsun Hulitun-ew’t-hw’, with construction now approximately 90% complete and the project remaining on schedule and budget. As the facility moves toward completion, the new hospital campus is taking shape, including the main hospital buildings, parking areas, access routes, and rooftop helipad.

The latest project update highlights the integration of art and healing, with introduction to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation donor wall mural artist, April Lacheur , a former Island Health nurse and artist, and  recognition of the project’s workforce and Indigenous nursing contributions.

Parkin is proud to be part of the team helping deliver this transformative healthcare facility for the Cowichan Valley. We look forward to sharing additional project updates as construction progresses toward completion.
