West Lincoln Memorial Hospital has been featured on Healthcare Snapshots, highlighting Parkin Architects Limited’s design for a sustainable, senior-centred community healthcare facility in Grimsby, Ontario. The 192,135 sq. ft., three-storey hospital brings together acute and outpatient services in a compact, intuitive environment designed to support comfort, accessibility, infection prevention, and ease of navigation for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
The feature recognizes the project’s thoughtful approach to senior-focused design, including clear wayfinding, natural light, accessible circulation, private inpatient rooms, durable infection-control finishes, and community-inspired interiors that reflect the character of Grimsby and the Niagara region. Sustainability is also central to the hospital’s design, with strategies targeting LEED Silver certification, reduced operational emissions, high-performance building systems, and on-site solar energy generation.
