The Citizen Care Pods designed for efficiency and safety to help fight the global pandemic

In March 2020, an innovative group came together to design custom mobile testing units to help control the pandemic and restart the economy.

The Citizen Care Pod is featured in a prominent newsletter published by Shimmerman Penn LLP (Spark Newsletter). This publication includes articles and references of how companies are dealing with COVID-19 and government programs.

These units are designed around safety and are being built across North America by PCL Construction. Led by WZMH Architects, the team consists of: Stephenson Engineering Ltd, Loring Consulting Engineers, Inc., Quasar Consulting Group and Parkin Architects Limited. Parkin was brought to the team by WZMH Architects for their expertise in healthcare and laboratory design, to provide guidance on the selection of materials and a concept for the introduction of a portable lab within the PVTC.
