New Halton Police Headquarters Breaks Ground in Oakville

A state-of-the-art facility envisioned for the new Halton Regional Police Service’s Headquarters will be a central hub for police training, forensics, evidence management and administration.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday October 14, 2015.  The new police headquarters at 2485 North Service Rd. W. is to be completed in 21 months, with police operations to begin in the fall of 2017.

Nearly $65 million has been budgeted for the project’s construction costs, information technology, computer and radio systems, and furniture.

The building will feature heightened security measures, storage areas for specialized tactical vehicles and weaponry, and a cutting-edge forensic lab.
