Ricoh Coliseum

Renovation
This design project involved an extensive renovation of the existing arena, located on the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) grounds in Toronto. Seating for spectators was upgraded and increased to 9,700, including 38 private suites that comprise part of the new roof structure. Originally constructed in 1921, the arena features many state-of-the-art design innovations, while preserving the building's historical character. These innovations include removable seats to accommodate the floor space demands of different events, as well as a lowered floor housing a concrete tank that can be converted into an indoor lake.
