New Facility
The SPCA features a unique combination of elements that provide a
pleasant atmosphere for visitors and staff, and a healthy environment
for animals. The design creates a playful appearance for the facility
in order to enhance the experience for all involved. To simplify
navigation for visitors, the shelter features five zoned areas,
including: the entrance and auditorium; adoption; lost and found;
animal services; and administration. Each area is separated by
a set of transverse corridors. Administrative offices are placed
adjacent to the auditorium and away from the animal areas to
provide a quiet work area, as well as to improve public access
and services.
