New Facility
One of the largest, climate-controlled, welded tetrahedral
space-frame structures in Canada, the museum design features
26 roof sections, ranging in weight from 10 to 80 tons,
suspended 40 feet above the floor on three main columns.
Mechanical and electrical systems, as well as natural and
artificial lighting sources, are integrated within the
structural forms.
