Renovations
The scope of the project encompasses interior renovations to an existing 3 storey combined laboratory and office use building to accommodate new lab spaces and associated offices. There is also a substantial upgrade to the mechanical base building and internal HVAC systems. The Edmonton Police Service will move their forensic division into a portion of this building as part of the upgrades. The main components of the work delivered sequentially in phases will comprise:

• New Case Receiving Unit (CRU)
• Forensic Identification Unit
• Major DNA Biology Lab
• Evidence Recovery Unit (ERU) Labs
• Trace Evidence section
• Administrative offices
• Library
• Mobile storage
• Toxicology Unit
• Edmonton Police Services Lab and Office
