Renovation/Addition
Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is part of the University Hospitals Health System, which serves Northeast Ohio. The project entails renovations of the existing 4th floor of Rainbow Babies to accommodate the new NICU which is currently on level 2. This level 3 NICU will be co-located on the 4th floor with the Transitional Care Nursery in the Horvitz Building. The two units are joined by a bridge over the existing outdoor courtyard. The project is comprised of 40, all-private NICU rooms and the accompanying support areas. The rooms are designed in circular pods so that there is excellent visibility into each baby's room.
