Planning Study
The Southwest Detention Centre, a 315 bed facility housing male and female inmates, is intended to replace the Windsor Jail, an existing correctional facility. This project involved the following assignments: a major Planning Study with associated programmatic requirements and a Site Selection Study. The Planning study included: 20 Year Master Plan with expansion strategies, Schematic Options Analysis, Conceptual Design (blocking/stacking/massing) for a Generic Site, Facilities Program, Cost Benefit Analysis and LEED strategy. Extensive planning with stakeholders took place throughout the entire process. The Site Selection Study included a detailed Location Criteria Matrix, visits to potential sites, and assistance with Real Estate Analysis.

Planning Study
The Toronto South Detention Centre (TSDC), an 824 bed facility housing male inmates, is intended to replace the Toronto Jail, an existing correctional facility. This detention centre will be constructed on the site of the current Mimico Detention Centre in Toronto's west end. This project involved two groups of assignments: a major Planning Study with associated programmatic requirements and Site Related Activities. The Planning Study included a 20 year Master Plan with expansion strategies, Schematic Options Analysis, Conceptual Design, Facilities Program and Cost Benefit Analysis. Site Related Activities included a Condition Assessment Report with intensive existing conditions investigations and a demolition tender package. Extensive planning with stakeholders took place throughout the entire planning and conceptual design process.
